The web check-in is extremely advantageous, since passengers will be able to:

print their boarding card from their own PC
arrive at the airport with their seat already assigned (if seat assignment is applicable)
go directly, through security, to their boarding gate, if travelling with hand luggage only

Please remind that:

passengers have to show up at the airport at the time indicated on the airlines’ websites, otherwise boarding will be denied;
if travelling with pieces of luggage to be checked in, passengers have to hand them in at the bag “DROP-OFF” counter before going through security
if flying on international Ryanair services, non-EU citizens have to report to the “VISA CHECK” counter before going through security
hand luggage has to comply in full with airline-specific rules, otherwise the bag will have to be withdrawn at the gate to be carried as checked-in luggage and an extra charge will be applied for that
