Luggage Assistance

At Trieste Airport, we are committed to providing our passengers with the best possible assistance, especially in cases of irregularities that may occur during the journey.

Notice:

Due to government regulations regarding the containment of the health emergency, the opening hours of the baggage assistance office will be subject to changes based on the actual operation of flights.

Damaged luggage

If your luggage is damaged upon delivery upon arrival, please immediately proceed to the Baggage Assistance Office (Lost & Found), located at the exit of the Arrivals area, and file a regular report. The staff will provide you with all the necessary instructions for resolving the issue.

The Passenger Rights Charter provides, for flights operated by European Union airlines, compensation for destruction, damage, loss, or delayed delivery of luggage. The request for compensation must be made within 7 days of collection for damage to registered baggage, and within 21 days for delayed delivery

Lost luggage

In case your luggage did not arrive with your flight, please immediately proceed to the Baggage Assistance Office (Lost & Found), located at the exit of the Arrivals area, presenting the baggage receipt along with the boarding pass. The staff will initiate procedures to search for the luggage and arrange for its subsequent delivery. The luggage search is entirely computerized, with the option to receive real-time updates on your luggage via SMS.

If the airline you traveled with uses the World Tracer baggage tracking system, you can also follow the progress of your case in real-time via the internet.
