Performing check-in and boarding smoothly

Passengers must present themselves at the 13 available check-in counters within the following hours:

  • For domestic flights, 40 minutes before departure.
  • For international flights, 40 minutes before departure.

The indicated timings may vary according to the airline's regulations. In case of presentation outside the specified times or absence of the required documentation, boarding will not be authorized.

As airlines now exclusively use electronic tickets, passengers will need to present themselves at check-in by providing only their booking code along with a valid identification document.

Mobile and web check-in

Currently, at Trieste Airport, the mobile check-in service is available for passengers departing on Alitalia and Lufthansa flights. The web check-in service is available for passengers departing on ITA Airways and Lufthansa flights as well as for those traveling with Ryanair: passengers can print their boarding pass from their PC and, upon arrival at the airport, proceed directly to security control.

In the event that luggage is to be accepted, before heading to security control, passengers must proceed to the dedicated counter (DROP-OFF counter) to drop off their luggage to be loaded in the hold and receive the luggage sticker.

Ryanair passengers flying on international routes who are not EU citizens must instead proceed to the VISA CHECK counter before undergoing security control.
